Worldmark House was born from a book that refused to be written.

Worldmark House is Monica Low. Twenty-five years in design and branding, and a lifetime of reading and writing freaky stuff. Finally, a studio that combines both.

I’ve been a designer for twenty-five years — building brands and teaching others about them. But since I was a child, stealing ratty Stephen King novels off my dad’s bookshelf, I’ve wanted to be an author. So I decided to do it. I sat down to write my own world. Something dark, something romantic, something electric with a ton of heat. Exactly the kind of book I wanted to read and get lost in.

So I cracked open my laptop and started plotting, developing, writing.

But in the middle of every session, I’d daydream about what the book and its world would look like. The mood boards got bigger. The atmosphere expanded. The colour palette became its own character. Somewhere along the way, I realized that writing the book was fun, but designing it was exhilarating.

So I took everything I’d spent twenty-five years learning and teaching about brand systems and built something new: a studio devoted to making books and series look and feel as powerful as they read.

Worldmark House is a design studio specializing in series identity for romantasy and dark romance authors — the typography, palette, and symbolic marks that make a world instantly recognizable across every book, every cover, every reader touchpoint.

If you’re building a world that spans multiple books, you need more than a cover.
You need a visual language that readers recognize.

Let’s build yours.
